UL 325

IT'S COMING ... A code that was required only in the residential market is coming to the commercial industry. UL 325 is an entrapment code that required all residential operators (since 1993) to have proper safety devices to reverse the door in the chance that someone would be caught underneath it. There is a pending code that will require all commercial door operators to have a monitored safety device. We will update this notice when it becomes official.

Fire Doors

ARE YOUR FIRE DOORS READY FOR INSPECTION? Most of you remember the recent explosion that happened at the Falk Corporation. It reminds us that anything can happen when we least expect it. For many years now, we have been performing drop testing for a variety of companies on their fire doors. These doors will automatically drop if a fire breaks out and keep the fire from spreading to other parts of the building. We encourage you to have your doors tested at least annually. Give us a call and we can explain how to go about it.

IMPORTANT: NEW CODE UPDATES! - call us for the most recent code requirements or have us come out to do a walk-through and let you know what you need to bring your doors up to code.
