Field Service Technician


The Field Service Technician is a customer interacting role responsible for performing professional door service and responding to customer's needs in a friendly and efficient manner by using their customer service skills and mechanical knowledge. This position requires the ability to be onsite with customers, working with a team and being a dynamic representative of Rinderle Door Company. Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and strong customer service is a key to the success of this role.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Represent Rinderle Door Company with all customers exhibiting the "Do What's Right" philosophy
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through frequent interaction
  • Accurately interpret customer needs and develop solutions
  • Provide thorough, detailed and accurate information for project estimation and provide guidance throughout project as needed
  • Actively promote Rinderle products, services and solutions in support of customer's needs and vision
  • Acknowledge when project issues arise and address immediately with customers

Success Criteria

  • Developing rapport with customers by creating an amazing experience for them in the field
  • Ability to make a unique contribution to the Rinderle team, strengthening the team's skillset and furthering team success
  • Exhibiting the ability to take initiative to problem-solve and handle difficult situations under tense situations
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly truck as well as equipment used on the job
  • Creating an atmosphere of teamwork, excellence and communication
  • Continuing to grow and develop in order to take on new challenges and new areas of expertise

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years in the service/construction industry
  • Able to use power tools, aerial work platforms and equipment
  • Mechanical Skills (as well as low voltage electrical skills)
  • Logical Thinker
  • Healthy and fit to carry out physical task and lifting
  • Positive Attitude
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Owner of Full Set Hand-Tools
